Write a Resume

1. Mention your career objective clearly.

2. Give your educational qualification along with the university, you have studied and the marks your have scored since your 10th, 12th up to your graduation. Let these details be in the chronological order.

3. Write in detail about your previous experience that includes your designation, job profile, your extra-ordinary work, your achievements and the salary drawn with that company. Importantly mention the time period of your working with that company. If you had worked with more than one company, than write about your experiences, in the order of latest first.

4. Mention the technical and professional skills you possess, related to job you apply. For Eg. Don’t give ORACLE has your skill if you’re searching for electrical service engineer post.

5. Mention your area of interest, in the field you would like to work or your expectations on your job profile.

6. Give relevant references from the industry or references from your previous company.

7. Give your bio-data, which will include your full name, contact details, date of birth, languages known, hobbies etc.

8. Generally we recommend you to use, “Yours sincerely” rather using “Your friendly or obediently”.

9. Don’t forget to sign your resume with the place and date.

10. Don’t try story-writing or poetry writing in your resume. Use simple English. Avoid grammatical and spelling mistakes.

11. Use professional fonts. Avoid fonts like comic sans etc.

12. Plan your headings and sub-headings and then start writing. Avoid unnecessary underlining. Try to reduce the number of tables.
